Banksy in Rugby?

After a Sunday afternoon in Rugby town centre, my wife noticed this graffiti stencil next to one of the public car parks, immediately recognising it as the one and only British street artist Banksy!

Banksy in Rugby

Could it be? Has the great Bristolian put our town on the (art) map? What do you think?

It’s just stencil art, if I’m not mistaken. Banksy’s stuff tends to be a bit more involved than something like that.

  2. Paul Lloyd Says:

I agree - there seems to be no signature either. Also, Banksy’s art tends to be larger, and have a political point, this is just a stenciled Grenade. Be cool if it was however…

  3. Marc Says:

I don’t think it’s a Banksy either mate. It’s only 1 colour and Banksy’s stuff tends to use at least a couple of colours.

I have to agree with the above, if it was Banksy, there would be a bigger agender behind it.. unless this was on a police station or something.
