It may be late notice but it’s worth mentioning now for those who were unaware - this coming weekend will be Multipack’s 2nd Birthday and we will be celebrating this back where it all began, back at The Wharf Bar in Walsall.

For the majority of this year, I’ve had other commitments when the monthly meetings have cropped up, usually to do with becoming a father and the consequential after effects such as many weekends of DIY or family visits. I will be making the extra effort this weekend to make an appearance even though it will mean a long drive up the M6 from my new town of Rugby.

Full details are on the Upcoming event page alongside a list of those in attendance. Fingers crossed some familiar faces will be braving the elements to mark the event with me. I will be supplying birthday cake (following Gaz’s awesome donation last year) as an added incentive and, if we are really lucky, the Wharf may even supply a couple of bottles of free bubbly like last year too.

There doesn’t tend to be much of an agenda to the meetings but we will be touching on topics like:

• Multipack Christmas 2007
• A well overdue redesign of the website
• Hot topics from around the Web
• What members of Multipack have been up to
• Anything else you wish to raise

It would be great to see the rest of the Multipack after a ridiculously long absence but that’s not to say new faces aren’t welcome - spread the word if you’re a Web Developer or Web Designer from the Midlands, itching to meet some like-minded people. Bring a friend or come alone, the Multipack are a friendly bunch and easily approachable. Just listen out for conversations about Facebook and Diggnation Live in London - it’s bound to be us!
