Multipack May

with 3 comments

This Saturday (12th May 2007), the Multipack will be taking over Lloyds No 1 Bar on Broad Street in Birmingham for our monthly meeting.

While the event is a fairly informal occasion, we are starting to introduce a few new “features”. We have talked in the past about getting either current members or new faces to present something they hold dear to them. It could be a recent project, a new discovery in their workflow, it could even be a cheap opportunity to plug a product or service (hey, we’ve all got to make a living somehow!)

This month, we will be visited by David Haywood of Derby-based computer games specialists, Pixel Labs. He will be discussing with us a potential new collaboration involving the latest Web technologies and computer games (Second Life is bound to get a mention at some point).

Among other conversations, Owen Gregory will also be in attendance who might be able to shed some light on his work with Andy Clarke on the pending redesign of Stuff and Nonsense.

All the event details are available on Upcoming, including venue location and who to expect. Let us know if you’ll be joining us using the handy little attendance poll on the side.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to attend a meeting (ever since my little arrival really) which seems quite bad considering I was original founder. So, from now on, I’m turning over a new leaf, making much more effort and intending on making it to all the future events. We will be arranging dates and venues for the Summer months and announcing them on the Sunday so be sure to keep your diary free.

No Phat DJ

with 3 comments

If you’re encountering download issues with the One Phat DJ podcast, I’m afraid it is because of a server issue.

We are currently looking into the problem, but we have highlighted where the problem is contained so hopefully it won’t be too long before normal service is resumed.

Obviously, this is having a knock on effect with the release of the “April” podcast. It is actually ready to go out live but there seems no point in offering the download when noone will be able to access it. It just means double servings for May.

Sorry for any inconveniences caused anyway.
