The Multipack

multipack_grab.png It’s with great pleasure that I can now announce the (official) launch of the Multipack website.

After coming up with the idea last October, it’s taken a while for the group to agree on designs and branding so the website took longer than expected to see the light of day. Eventually, after many attempts and discussions about the best approach to the branding, Jon came up with the logo you see above. Once we had established the brand, the website layout was a much easier process. The majority of the content had already been written so it was a case of Trev’s fine XHTML and CSS skills taking over and creating the masterpiece you see today.

There are also some nice little features going on in the background, such as plugging the Campaign Monitor API into the newsletter subscription form and Tom’s implementation of the Upcoming.org API into the Tag Along bubble.

But let’s not forget the most important thing about the Multipack - socialising! The next meetup will be on Saturday March 4th 2006 at 3pm in Lloyds No 1 bar on Broad Street, Birmingham. If you fancy joining us for a bevvy or two, come along. This is not an “invite-only” group (as mentioned elsewhere) - we choose venues that are open to the public as the Multipack is for the public. It just helps if you have an idea what the Internet is (otherwise it might get a bit boring for you).

Anyway, check out the site, sign up to our newsletter and join us. You never know - you might like it!
