Just Married!

My Bride, Lizzy This will probably be my last post for about three weeks so I’d best make it a good one. Actually, the topic of this post is more than enough to make it worthwhile - as of 2.30pm (GMT) on Saturday 13th August, 2005, I will officially be married to Elizabeth Snelson. We are getting married in a beautiful country house in the West Midlands and will be celebrating at the same venue for the remaining of the day.

Next Tuesday, we will be starting our honeymoon in Manchester where my mum’s boyfriend has booked us in to the SAS Raddison hotel which is very posh and, thankfully, connected to the departure lounge of Manchester Airport. We will then be flying out to Thailand on the Wednesday morning for a three stop holiday spread over two weeks. For the first 3 nights, we will be in Singapore, the following 3 nights will be spent in Bangkok and the final 6 nights we will be going full board in a plush, beach-side hotel in Hua Hin. How lucky are we?? (Thanks Mum!)

For those who don’t actually know, I have been “dating” (sounds so old fashioned) Lizzy since October 2000 after meeting her on a student night out in Stoke-on-Trent while were were at university. It was a surreal night as I was dressed as a lame Ghostbuster with my Best Man Graham and Lizzy was dressed up as Catwoman (this isn’t the normal night out in Hanley by the way - it was a Halloween Party). I fell in love with her immediately and proposed the following May (admittedly, slightly under the influence). It’s been quite a long engagement but the venue had a two year waiting list so the organising has been quite spread out.

Anyway, I’m sure I’ll write a full report of the Big Day and honeymoon so BFN.
