Bloody Broadband

Who ever said broadband installation was simple? I have spent the entire weekend trying to get my broadband working, thinking there was a problem with my PC configuration, checking telephone sockets weren’t dodgy connections… more than was necessary basically!

Anyway, I ended up ringing Tiscali tech services yesterday afternoon and after 30 mins, they told me that the connection wasn’t correctly setup (their error!). I was to leave everything plugged in and the computer on for the following 24 hours but considering I was setting it up on my work laptop, that wasn’t going to happen. So I turned on my home PC (which isn’t in its ideal form I hasten to mention) to find that the primary hard-drive is corrupt, with no Windows bootup disks to hand!

So I’m now hoping that the connection will be resolved at some point today without the need of a computer being connected. Nightmare!
